24.08.2004 Volonterski centar ADP Zid iz Podgorice u saradnji sa Opstinom Kolasin, organizovao je medjunarodni volonterski radni kamp u Kolasinu, koji je poceo 15. avgusta, i trajao do 20-og. Prema rijecima Aleksandre Zekovic, koordinatorke Volonterskog centra, ucesnici kampa su bili mladi iz Njemacke, Holandije, Litvanije, Francuske i Makedonije.

04.08.2004 The Youth Information Agency invites all interested parties to apply their short documentary films on the subject "Volunteering and Its Contribution to the Local Community" for the Albert Einstein Project. The films that apply should not be longer than seven minutes. The winning films (one each will be awarded from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria) will be awarded 1,000 EUR prize.

27.07.2004 Zahvaljujuci nevladinim organizacijama ADP ZID iz Podgorice i “Postpesimisti” iz Kotora, Bijela je minulih petnaestak dana bila stjeciste mladih iz raznih krajeva svijeta. Dvadesetak volontera iz Crne Gore, Srbije, Francuske, Ceske, Svedske, Svajcarske, Holandije, Italije, Engleske, Litvanije i Amerike radili su i druzili se kroz kreativne radionice sa sticenicima Djecjeg doma “Mladost” u Bijeloj.

14.07.2004 Under the preparations for the Opening Ceremony of the Rebuilt Old Bridge in Mostar, the City of Mostar, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to B&H, will organize a volunteer action for cleaning of the Neretva River bed, which is currently littered. The litter and garbage are an unsuitable background for the beauty and the symbolism of the rebuilt bridge and the old quarters of the City.

13.07.2004 If you mention volunteer work to a young person, all the chances are he/she will immediately think of exploitation and unpaid work. That it, indeed, the philosophy underlying volunteering, but in addition to the “exploitation”, the young have a chance to acquire skills and knowledge that are not available in the regular education.

12.07.2004 Even though not necessarily recognized as such, voluntarism has been an important part of Kosovo’s history. In the communist period, a considerable amount of construction was done on a voluntary basis. During the Milosevic era, Kosovo Albanians relied on voluntarism to survive and in the post conflict period, people from minority communities, facing harsh living conditions and limited freedom of movement, also benefit from the help of volunteers. Volunteerism has then helped keep people together, it has helped to organize people, to create social coherence and it has certainly helped reduce hardship across all ethnic groups.

09.07.2004 Accordingly, volunteering as an activity of the youth based, above all, on the good will and personal choice, is not directly regulated by the legislation. Indirectly, this legislative could apply to the volunteers, having in mind that it is rather competent in providing for the right of the persons that decided to get involved in voluntary work and activities. In fact, the volunteers have both health and social insurance and allowances during the volunteering period.

08.07.2004 U Republici Srpskoj, volonter je lice koje se zapošljava kod određenog poslodavca u svrhu odrađivanja pripravničkog staža, a bez neophodnog zaključivanja Ugovora o radu, a kako bi steklo uslove za polaganje stručnog ispita. Po završetku «volonterskog» staža, «volonter» dobija potvrdu kao dokaz da je staž ispoštovan i da ispunjava (terminski) uslove za polaganje stručnog ispita.
Dakle, očito je da je riječ o institutu radnog prava, a koji nema mnogo veze sa pojmom «volontera» koji zanima ovo istraživanje.

08.07.2004 Volonteri Ujedinjenih Naroda (UNV) i Razvojni program Ujedinjenih Naroda (UNDP) implementiraju Integrisani Program za Mlade (IYP). Glavni cilj programa je da promovira i podržava napore za osnaživanje mladih ljudih u Bosni i Hercegovini i na takav način pomogne ostvarivanju Milenijumskih Razvojnih Ciljeva.

08.07.2004 United Nations Volunteers (UNV) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) implement the Integrated Youth Programme (IYP). The Programme's main aim is to promote, support, and complement efforts towards empowerment of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in such way contribute to achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Furthermore, the Programme aims at taking proactive steps in promotion and implementation of the Youth Policy at all levels and at contributing to the development of a settled and healthily functioning society characterized by respect for difference, tolerance and full participation of young people in community development process. Programme activities are related to the level of youth activity in target areas and are organized in ascending order in relation to the capability of the local NGOs, with the overall objective of creation of a sustainable and powerful youth individuals and organisations.

05.07.2004 "A Little Something of Voluntarism For the Big Volunteer" is a publication of the Youth Communication Centre (OKC) from Banja Luka. The authors, Vera Kelava and Tatjana Smitran, compiled a set of workshops designed with the goal to increase the level of activism among the high school students through improved communications, team work and voluntarism.

02.07.2004 "Nesto malo o volonterizmu za velikog volontera" je publikacija koju je izdao Omladinski komunikativni centar iz Banja Luke, a autori su mu Vera Kelava i Tatjana Smitran. Ova publikacija podrzana je od strane Nezavisnog biroa za humanitarna pitanja i Gradske uprave grada Banja Luka.
