News from OWI's Governing Body
The most recent OneWorld International Foundation Board of Trustees meeting took place in London on 16-18 November 2003. Meeting minutes will be posted shortly.
Minutes of previous Board meetings are available. The next Board of Trustees meeting will take place in mid-2004. In 2003 OneWorld's Governance Group completed its first network-wide Governance Report (pdf) to review our internal democracy. We would welcome feedback on this report. Latest Strategic Alliance

New Support for OneWorld
The Vodafone Group Foundation has announced support for OneWorld's pioneering work using mobile phones in Africa for sharing local knowledge. The system to be piloted in Kenya and South Africa will focus on vital information for local communities like market prices and HIV/AIDS.

Newest Centre
The first steering committee for a new independent OneWorld Southern Africa was held March 7-9th in Lusaka, Zambia. Board members came from organisations including SchoolNet Africa, MISA, Mwengo and UUNET.
